Assam: Chaos Erupts at Zubeen Garg’s Concert in Dergaon, Fans’ Unruly Behavior Sparks Police Intervention

Guwahati, 9th January: In a déjà vu moment for Zubeen Garg, controversy once again marred his concert in Dergaon on Monday night, as a group of disruptive fans created chaos during the performance.

The incident occurred at the Naren Sharma Memorial Ground, where Zubin Garg was performing, and unruly attendees’ broke chairs and climbed railings, leading to an unpleasant situation.

The concert organized by Nrityanjali Kala Kendra in Dergaon, turned tumultuous when a group of youths, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, not only consumed liquor but also vandalized chairs in the front rows.

A video captured the unruly behavior, showing the group dancing recklessly to Zubeen’s songs, breaking chairs in the process. Despite repeated pleas from the organizing committee to calm down, the intoxicated youths remained unresponsive.

The situation escalated to the point where the local police had to intervene, resorting to a lathi charge to bring the disruptive crowd under control.

The incident has stirred strong reactions within the Dergaon community, shedding light on the challenges organizers face in maintaining decorum during such events.

Zubeen Garg’s concerts seem to be recurrently plagued by such controversies, raising concerns about the need for enhanced security measures and crowd control at public gatherings.
