Northeast Desk, 11th January: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, in the ongoing Janta Bhetghat Program in the Zoom Salghari and Soreng–Chakung Assembly constituency, emphasized the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) party’s commitment to addressing healthcare and employment issues for the people of Sikkim.

During the program, Chief Minister Tamang announced the forthcoming distribution of appointment letters on a district-wise basis, ensuring job opportunities for citizens across the region. He highlighted SKM’s consistent support for residents, especially those in remote areas, and acknowledged the challenges faced by those unable to travel to Gangtok for medical treatment.

The Janta Bhetghat Program, spanning two days – January 10 and 11 – in the Soreng–Chakung Assembly constituency, aims to provide a platform for citizens to voice grievances directly to the government. Chief Minister Tamang expressed his commitment to spending additional time connecting with the public and addressing their concerns, extending the program to January 12.

During these interactions, the government engages with gram panchayats, municipalities, and wards to understand and address the issues faced by the people. Chief Minister Tamang assured that the government is particularly attentive to healthcare concerns, bringing entire medical teams to regions with geographical constraints.

“For more complex cases requiring referrals to Gangtok or other states, the government facilitates the process and provides financial support,” Tamang stated. He also highlighted the government’s efforts in scrutinizing documents and processing appointment orders for deserving candidates in the employment sector, ensuring systematic distribution across all constituencies and districts.
