Arunachal CM Enhances Honorarium for Anganwadi Workers

Northeast Desk, 16th January: In a positive start to the New Year, Chief Minister Pema Khandu of Arunachal Pradesh announced an increase in the honorarium for Anganwadi workers during the first cabinet meeting of 2024 held on January 16.

Recognizing the crucial role played by Anganwadi workers in improving living standards, especially for women and children in rural areas, the cabinet approved an additional top-up of Rs 1000.

The enhanced honorarium will benefit 6225 Anganwadi workers and helpers in the state. Those with matriculate certificates will now receive Rs 7500, while those without matriculation will get Rs 7438.

Anganwadi helpers will receive Rs 5250 as part of this decision aimed at acknowledging and encouraging their dedicated efforts.
