Union Home Minister Amit Shah Concludes Two-Day Visit to Assam
Guwahati, 20th January: Union Home Minister Amit Shah concluded his impactful two-day visit to Assam with a series of significant engagements, emphasizing security, culture, and development in the region. The second day included key events across Tezpur and Guwahati, showcasing the Minister’s commitment to various facets of Assam’s progress.
The day commenced with Amit Shah participating in the 60th Raising Day celebration of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) at the SSB Complex in Tezpur. The event acknowledged the remarkable service and dedication of the border guarding force, marking a historic milestone.
Transitioning to Guwahati, Shah attended the Passing Out Parade of Assam Police Commandos at Sarusajai Stadium, celebrating the successful completion of training by 2,551 Assam Police Commandos.
Later in the day, the Union Home Minister was part of the book release event titled ‘Assam’s Braveheart Lachit Barphukan’ at the Srimanta Sankardeva International Auditorium, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region.
In a move to enhance infrastructure and recreational spaces in Guwahati, Amit Shah inaugurated the Brahmaputra Riverfront, contributing to the city’s development and providing a scenic location for residents.
The two-day visit reaffirmed the government’s commitment to addressing Assam’s diverse development and security challenges, underscoring the multifaceted approach towards the region’s progress.
