Nationwide Half-Day Closure for Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha Celebrations
National Desk, 22nd January: In sync with the fervor surrounding the Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, the Central Government, including the Army Headquarters in New Delhi, has declared a half-day holiday until 2:30 pm. This decision follows the Central Government’s earlier notice, which extended the half-day closure to all its offices, institutions, and industrial establishments across India.
The Army notification aligns with the central government’s directive, emphasizing that employees are entitled to half-day leave to witness the historic inauguration ceremony of the Ram Temple. The move aims to facilitate nationwide participation in the celebrations surrounding Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha.
Notably, BJP-ruled states like Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Tripura, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Assam, have issued similar half-day leave orders. Union territories under the direct control of the Union government, such as Puducherry and Chandigarh, have also followed suit. Additionally, Odisha, under the leadership of Naveen Patnaik’s Biju Janata Dal, has declared a holiday for the occasion.
This collective decision allows citizens and government employees alike to partake in the festivities surrounding the momentous Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha ceremony, reflecting the nationwide significance of this historic event.
