Assam CM and PM Extend Wishes on National Girl Child Day
Guwahati, 24th January: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in January expressed the government’s unwavering commitment to the comprehensive development and well-being of the girl child, extending greetings to the people of the state on National Girl Child Day. Emphasizing the significance of girl children as a precious gift from God, CM Sarma urged everyone to cherish this gift and collectively strive to create equal opportunities for girls to thrive.
Posting on his official handle, CM Sarma, who considers himself a father and guardian to many young girls in Assam, reiterated the importance of fostering an environment that enables girls to grow and flourish.
