Assam Police Apprehends Two KLO Members with Handmade Bomb

Guwahati, 27th January: Assam Police on January 27 successfully arrested two individuals associated with the banned militant group Kamatapur Liberation Organisation (KLO). Acting on specific intelligence inputs, a dedicated police team from Gossaigaon conducted a thorough search operation leading to the apprehension of Ravindra Barman and Prasanjit Barman, both residents of Koksaguri village no. 2 under Sapkata police station. The sub-divisional police officer of Gossaigaon spearheaded the search operation.

During the scrutiny process, the police team discovered a handmade bomb weighing approximately 5 kg in possession of the arrested individuals. The bomb has been promptly seized and secured by the police to prevent any potential threat.

The arrested duo is now in police custody, undergoing further investigation to unravel any additional connections to their activities. The proactive operation highlights Assam Police’s commitment to maintaining security and curbing illegal activities in the region.
