Assam CM to Inaugurate Birubari-Lalganesh Flyover Foundation Stone on February 1

Guwahati, 31st January: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is set to lay the foundation stone of the Birubari-Lalganesh flyover on February 1, aiming to alleviate traffic congestion in Guwahati.

The 2.84 km flyover, estimated at Rs 376 crore, will cover key junctions such as Cycle Factory, Barsapara, and Lalganesh Market, enhancing connectivity on the Guwahati Garbhanga Road. The project’s commencement reflects the state government’s commitment to improving urban mobility and addressing traffic challenges in the capital city.

The flyover is anticipated to connect major landmarks, providing a significant boost to the city’s infrastructure and easing travel for residents.

In a further stride towards enhancing urban connectivity, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma recently laid the foundation stone for the longest flyover in Guwahati.

Spanning an impressive 4.5 kilometers and estimated at Rs 853 crore, the four-lane flyover connects Dighalipukhuri with the Noonmati FCI godown.

Positioned as the second longest flyover in India, this architectural marvel aims to streamline traffic flow, stimulate economic activity, and enhance the overall quality of life for Guwahati residents. The ambitious project underscores the state’s dedication to progress and infrastructure development.
