Guwahati, 1st February: In a tragic incident, three pedestrians sustained severe injuries after they were hit by a speeding numberless truck in Cachar district of Assam.
The incident took place at Badrighat in Silchar.
The victims identified as Rishku Uddin, Tanu Mia, and Rita Begum was hit by the speeding truck navigating recklessly at night.
Upon receiving information, the injured were immediately rescued by locals and rushed to Silchar Medical College, where their current situation is reported as critical.
The community, angered by the reckless act, expressed their frustration by vandalizing the vehicle responsible for the accident.
However, CRPF personnel immediately responded to the incident, bringing the situation under control.
It needs to mention that police officials are currently investigating the matter into the incident.
