Assam: Former AAP Leader Kamal Medhi Joins BJP

Guwahati, 5th February: Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kamal Medhi formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on February 5.

Speaking at the joining ceremony, Kamal Medhi expressed his intention to address various topics and issues after joining the BJP.

Medhi has a controversial past, having been expelled from AAP in July last year after allegedly making derogatory remarks against the Ahom community. The expulsion followed his anti-Gogoi remark, causing unrest within the party and drawing criticism from various quarters.

Before joining the AAP, Medhi had a tumultuous political career, being associated with various parties such as Raijor Dal, Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti, and Congress.
