Guwahati, 7th February: A harrowing incident unfolded in Guwahati’s Ganeshguri locality as a group of individuals brutally attacked a youth, resulting in his tragic demise, reports revealed on Wednesday.
The victim, identified as Ikram Hussain, fell victim to the senseless violence that erupted following a minor altercation on Monday night.
Sources disclosed that Ikram sustained grievous head injuries during the assault, prompting his admission to the Dispur Polyclinic in Ganeshguri.
Despite efforts to save him, Ikram tragically succumbed to his injuries around 3 pm on Tuesday, casting a pall of shock and grief over the community.
In the wake of the devastating loss, the family members of the deceased lodged an FIR at the Dispur Police Station, seeking justice for the heinous attack that claimed Ikram’s life.
