PM Modi to visit Assam several times Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections, CM Sarma
Guwahati, 7th February: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit the state several times in the lead-up to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. This announcement follows reports in the local media about the Assam government scouting potential rally sites for the Prime Minister, including one in Lakhimpur.
Addressing the media, CM Sarma revealed that PM Modi is expected to visit Assam approximately four to five times before the elections. He mentioned that the state government is exploring various locations for hosting rallies, with plans for potential meetings in Teok (Jorhat), Lakhimpur, Nalbari, and Silchar. However, final decisions will depend on factors like the Prime Minister’s availability and logistical feasibility.
Just recently, PM Modi held a massive rally in Guwahati on February 4, where he inaugurated several development projects. As the Lok Sabha elections draw closer, it is anticipated that PM Modi, along with other prominent BJP leaders such as Home Minister Amit Shah, will intensify campaigning efforts in Assam and the Northeast region.
