Assam: Tragic Accident Claims Brother-Sister Duo Among Four Lives in Silapathar

Guwahati, 8th February: In a devastating incident that shook the community of Silapathar in the Dhemaji district of Assam, four lives were tragically lost, including a brother-sister duo, in an early morning accident on Thursday.

The heart-wrenching incident unfolded around 4:30 am at Silasuti in Silapathar, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Reports indicate that the brother-sister duo, identified as Aza Sukrang (19) and Tileswar Sukrang (22), were standing on the roadside when they were struck by a speeding TATA Punch vehicle from behind.

Tragically, the impact of the collision proved fatal, claiming the lives of the duo on the spot, leaving the community reeling from the sudden loss.

Additionally, reports suggest that the TATA Punch also collided with a motorcycle bearing registration number AS06AA8394FZ. The rider of the bike succumbed to his injuries immediately at the scene of the accident.

Moreover, the pillion rider, who was being rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention, tragically lost his life en route.

Upon receiving notification of the incident, local law enforcement promptly responded to the scene, where they commenced with the necessary protocols and retrieved the bodies of the victims.

The entire community is left mourning the untimely demise of these four individuals, their lives cut short in a tragic accident that has left a profound impact on the residents of Silapathar and beyond.
