Maharashtra: Shiv Sena Leader’s Mortal Remains Brought Home Amidst Grief
National Desk, 9th February: The mortal remains of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Abhishek Ghosalkar were solemnly brought to his residence in Mumbai’s Borivali on February 9, where a large gathering of mourners paid their respects.
The police identified the accused as Mehul, shedding light on the tragic incident that led to Ghosalkar’s untimely demise. Following an intensive 7-hour investigation at the scene of the crime, authorities recovered a pistol, a live cartridge, and crucial CCTV footage.
The heartbreaking incident unfolded as Ghosalkar, son of prominent Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Vinod Ghosalkar and a former corporator, was fatally shot during a Facebook livestream in Mumbai’s Dahisar area on February 8. Noronha, believed to be the assailant, abruptly exited the livestream before returning and opening fire on Ghosalkar, firing three shots before tragically ending his own life, as per police reports.
