Guwahati, 12th February: A woman sustained injuries after a student allegedly collided his scooter with her two-wheeler near Railway Colony Road in Bamunimaidan, Guwahati, on February 12,
The incident took place at around 12 PM today.
Eyewitnesses recounted that the impact caused the woman and her vehicle to fall into a nearby drain, resulting in severe injuries.
As per reports, the public assisted the injured woman in getting out of the drain. The student involved reportedly displayed unruly behavior, triggering a commotion, before fleeing the scene.
Concerns arose regarding the absence of a guard wall or barrier alongside the road, contributing to the woman’s fall into the drain along with her two-wheeler, exacerbating her injuries.
Upon reaching out to the Chandmari Traffic Police for further details on the accident, officials stated their current unawareness of the situation. They assured that further information would be provided upon receiving notification or the filing of a formal complaint.
