Assam: Principal Suspended Following Higher Secondary Exam Paper Leakage
Guwahati, 13th February: The Principal of Parbatjhora Senior Secondary School in Kokrajhar has been suspended with immediate effect in light of the recent incident involving the leakage of question papers for the Higher Secondary final examination on February 12.
Identified as Ramendra Nath Roy, the principal faces charges of concealing the paper leakage incident from the administration and failing to report it to the District Commissioner of Kokrajhar, the Inspector of Schools (KDC) in Kokrajhar, or the relevant Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil). Such actions are deemed a grave dereliction of duty against the directives of higher authorities.
The administration has initiated departmental proceedings against the implicated principal under the Assam Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rule of 1964. They have instructed to conduct a thorough departmental inquiry and submit the report to the office for further necessary actions.
