Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma to Present State Budget on February 27

Northeast Desk, 13th February: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma is set to present the state budget on February 27, marking the first budget of the new Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) government under his leadership.

The budget session of the assembly will commence on February 19, with Assembly Commissioner and Secretary Vanlalthantlingi announcing that the session will last till March 13 following a decision by the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) in a meeting held last week.

During the session’s opening day, Mizoram Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati will deliver the customary inaugural address in the state assembly.

Reports indicate that Chief Minister Lalduhoma will focus on the ZPM’s policy of ‘Kalphung Thar’ or the new system of governance, along with the economics policy, including the ‘Kuta Kaih’ or the handholding policy, in his first budget presentation.
