Assam: 3 Illegal money lenders arrested in Bongaigaon
Guwahati, 15th February: The relentless crackdown on illegal money lenders continues in Assam, as Assam Police apprehended three individuals from Jogighopa in Bongaigaon district on February 15, 2024, for their involvement in illicit money lending activities.
Acting on precise intelligence, Assam Police in Bongaigaon initiated a targeted operation, leading to the arrest of three suspects identified as Makibur Rahman of Chalantapara, Tahar Ali, and Mustaq Ali of Balapara. These individuals were allegedly engaged in unlawful lending practices.
During the raid, authorities seized several incriminating documents, further implicating the arrested individuals. The trio has been placed in police custody to facilitate a thorough investigation and to uncover any additional links to the illicit activities.
