Assam: Student Expelled for Cheating in HSLC Examinations in Nagaon
Guwahati, 19th February: During the ongoing HLSC examinations in Assam’s Nagaon district, an incident of cheating came to light at the Balisatra Higher Secondary School examination centre in Dhing.
A student, whose identity remains undisclosed at the time of this report, was expelled from the exam after being caught allegedly cheating. Reports suggest that the student was caught in the act, with allegations pointing to a teacher named Aashik Iqbal for providing cheat papers to the student.
Upon discovery of the alleged cheating, other school staff members intervened and reportedly chased away the student involved. The incident adds to the growing concerns surrounding exam integrity in the state.
This incident follows another reported case of cheating earlier in the day in Assam’s Jonai, where four individuals, including a teacher, were arrested in connection with a significant cheating scandal. As such incidents emerge, authorities remain vigilant in ensuring the fair conduct of examinations and preserving the integrity of the education system.
