Assam Pradesh Congress Committee Joint General Secretary Resigns, Citing Personal Reasons
Guwahati, 20th February: In a significant blow to the Congress party, Ratul Kurmi, the joint general secretary of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), announced his resignation from the party on February 20. Kurmi, known to be closely associated with MP Gaurav Gogoi, cited personal reasons for his decision to step down from his positions within the party.
In his resignation letter addressed to APCC chief Bhupen Borah, Ratul Kurmi expressed his decision to resign from all posts and memberships within the Congress party due to personal problems. He acknowledged his dedicated service to the party as the joint secretary of APCC and co-in-charge of Golaghat District Congress, emphasizing his commitment and sincerity in serving the party.
