Arunachal Government Enhances APPSCCE Syllabi and Initiates Key Reforms

Northeast Desk, 3rd March: In a move to enhance the effectiveness and inclusivity of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (APPSCCE), the state government has approved amendments to the syllabi for the APPSCCE Rule-2019. Chaired by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, a meeting ratified this decision, reflecting a commitment to align the examination process with the state’s socio-cultural fabric.

Key revisions include the incorporation of topics relevant to Arunachal Pradesh in both preliminary and main APPSCC examinations. This strategic adjustment aims to ensure aspiring civil servants are well-versed in local issues, fostering a deeper understanding of the state’s dynamics.

Simultaneously, the cabinet greenlit appointments to the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, underscoring efforts to strengthen the state’s administrative apparatus.

Furthermore, in a bid to preserve indigenous languages and dialects, the cabinet sanctioned the inclusion of 23 local languages and dialects of constitutionally notified tribes of Arunachal as the third language in the state.

Addressing healthcare needs, the cabinet approved recruitment rules for various healthcare positions, including joint directors of nursing and laboratory technicians. Additionally, the creation of faculty positions at the Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) aims to enhance medical education and healthcare delivery.

Recognizing contributions to socioeconomic development, the cabinet sanctioned the renaming of government institutions and landmarks after distinguished personalities, honoring their legacies.

To bolster infrastructure and connectivity, the cabinet approved the establishment of highway circles and divisions, alongside the creation of posts for gaon burahs (GB) and head gaon burahs (HGB). These initiatives underscore the government’s commitment to improving transportation networks and grassroots governance mechanisms statewide.
