Assam: Mob Assaults Students Returning From Exam In Tinsukia, 5 Injured

Guwahati, 4th March: A disturbing incident has emerged from Assam’s Tinsukia, where as many as five students of a high school were injured after being attacked by a large group of unruly youths on Monday.

The incident occurred amid the ongoing High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination, leaving three out of the five students seriously injured.

According to reports, a mob of about 30 unruly youths suddenly appeared as the students were returning home after appearing in their examination.

The rowdy mob initiated the confrontation and started physically assaulting the group of students, resulting in some of them sustaining head injuries.

While three of the students were seriously wounded and rushed to Tinsukia Civil Hospital for treatment, the other two students managed to escape with minor injuries.

The injured students, treated for their injuries and blood loss, were from St. Stephen’s High School, Bordoloi Nagar, in the Tinsukia district of Assam.

The reason behind the incident is yet to be determined, adding to the shock and confusion surrounding the unprovoked assault on students during such a crucial time.

Authorities are expected to investigate the matter to ensure the safety and security of students in the area.
