Tripura: Pradyot Bikram Manikya DebBarma Leads Meeting on Tiprasa Accord Implementation
Northeast Desk, 5th March: Former President of Tipra Motha, Pradyot Bikram Manikya DebBarma, chaired a crucial meeting with leaders today, focusing on the strategic implementation of the Tiprasa Accord in the coming days. The discussions also centered on strengthening their movement.
Expressing satisfaction over the historic signing of the TIPRASA Accord, Pradyot Manikya Debbarma remarked that the day marked a significant milestone as the historic agreement was formalized. Addressing the media after the signing, he hailed the accord as a historical achievement, emphasizing the Government of India’s acknowledgment of past mistakes and commitment to addressing the issues of the indigenous people. He conveyed assurance from the government regarding the recognition and importance of their language, economics, political aspirations, and cultural history, emphasizing unity and support among the people throughout the process.
The signing of the TIPRASA Accord has been hailed as a pivotal moment for Tripura’s future, drawing praise from Home Minister Amit Shah. Shah lauded the efforts of all stakeholders, including Pradyot Debbarma, in achieving this historic agreement. During the ceremony, Shah emphasized the accord’s significance in acknowledging past mistakes while charting a course for progress and a brighter future.
