Assam Government Assigns Officials to Election Department for Lok Sabha Polls
Guwahati, 6th March: The Assam government has taken a temporary measure by assigning five officials to the election department to oversee the electoral process until the conclusion of the Lok Sabha polls.
These officials, serving in the public service interest, will supervise various aspects of the election process until the Parliamentary Election-2024 concludes. Throughout this period, they will be considered deputed to the Election Department/ECI.
Here are the names of the officers and their current places of posting:
- Shri Kailash Karthik N. IAS
- Secretary, PHE Department
- Director, Neer Nirmal Pariyojana
- MD, Jal Jeevan Mission (additional charge)
- Shri Javir Rahul Suresh, IAS
- Joint Secretary, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department
- In-charge Director, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, Assam
- Director, Dairy Development, Assam
- Shri Ratul Chandra Pathak, ACS
- Joint Secretary, Food & Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department
- Shri Pankaj Chakravarty, ACS
- Joint Secretary, Indigenous Tribal Faith and Culture Department
- Director, Indigenous Tribal Faith and Culture (additional charge)

These officers are requested to report to the Chief Electoral Officer, Assam immediately for further instructions.
