Guwahati: Man Posing As Doctor For Over A Decade Arrested In Lal Ganesh locality
Guwahati, 6th March: In a startling development, Guwahati Police has apprehended a fake doctor in the Lal Ganesh locality.
Identified as Premananda Rai, the accused was reportedly practicing and treating patients at the New Mahamaya Medicos in Lal Ganesh locality.
Rai allegedly used the registration number of a doctor named Surendra Narayan from West Bengal to treat patients.
As per sources, Rai has been practicing with fake credentials since 1983, exploiting the trust of unsuspecting patients.
Furthermore, Rai faces additional allegations of supplying fake death certificates.
The Odal Bakra Police conducted an operation in the pharmacy following a complaint lodged by a doctor named Abhijit Neog.
As a result, Rai was apprehended, and the pharmacy owned by him was sealed by the police.
An interrogation into the incident has been initiated as authorities aim to uncover the extent of Rai’s fraudulent activities and ensure justice for the victims.
