PM Narendra Modi interacts with women forest guards at Kaziranga
Guwahati, 9th March: Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with Van Durga, a team of women forest guards at Kaziranga, lauding their pivotal role in conservation efforts and protection of forests and wildlife.
In a post on X, PM Modi praised the dedication and courage displayed by the women forest guards, emphasizing their inspiring commitment to safeguarding the natural heritage.
Earlier, PM Modi embarked on an early morning jeep and elephant safari ride after spending the night at Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The warm welcome extended to Prime Minister Modi upon his arrival in Assam’s Golaghat included a special cultural event, showcasing the region’s rich traditions.
During his two-day visit to Assam, PM Modi is slated to inaugurate and lay the foundation of projects totaling Rs 18,000 crore, aimed at bolstering development in the region.
Welcomed by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma upon his arrival at Tezpur airport, PM Modi’s visit underscores the government’s commitment to regional progress and conservation efforts.
