Guwahati, 12th March: In anticipation of the upcoming Assam Assembly elections, the Assam Congress on March 12 announced its list of candidates for the state’s legislative seats.
Notably, AJP’s Lurinjyoti Gogoi has been confirmed as the candidate for Dibrugarh, marking a strategic alliance between the two parties in select constituencies.
Congress has allocated only one seat for its alliance partner, the Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP), namely Dibrugarh, where Lurinjyoti Gogoi will contest.
Meanwhile, the selection for the candidate in Lakhimpur remains pending.
