Assam: Youth injured in leopard attack in Jorhat
Guwahati, 13th March: In yet another incident of human-animal conflict in the state of Assam, a youth was severely injured after being attacked by a leopard in Jorhat.
The incident took place at Lality Chapari near the Brahmaputra border in Jorhat.
The injured youth has been identified as Sanju Pegu.
As per reports, Sanju was suddenly attacked by a leopard while he was on his way to tie a buffalo.
Following the incident, Sanju was immediately shifted to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH) in a critical condition.
It needs to mention that the forest department was informed by the locals about the leopard roaming in the area, but the forest department has not taken any action.
