Northeast Desk, 13th March: In an effort to enhance recreational opportunities amidst the challenges of insurgency, the BJP-led Manipur government has announced plans to establish amusement parks across seven districts of the state.
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh emphasized the need for recreational activities in insurgency-affected areas, noting the limited leisure time available to residents. To address this, the government has initiated the establishment of amusement parks, aiming to provide avenues for recreation and relaxation.
“Northeast, particularly Manipur, is an insurgency-affected area. The people do not have time for recreation. Taking all this into account, the BJP-led government in Manipur has started establishing it (amusement park)…We will be opening it in seven districts,” stated N Biren Singh during a media interaction.
