Mizoram Police and Assam Rifles Seize Heroin and Explosives in Joint Operation

Northeast Desk, 19th March: Mizoram Police and Assam Rifles conducted a collaborative operation on March 18, resulting in the seizure of 198 soap cases containing 2.393 kilograms of heroin.

The confiscated contraband, estimated to be worth Rs 71,79,000, was found in possession of two individuals, B. Liansanga (45) and R. Malsawmthara (35).

In a separate operation, authorities intercepted a couple identified as Biakrema (29) and Ramthazuali (28). During the operation, they seized 110 gelatin sticks weighing 14.084 kilograms and 110 detonators.

The Mizoram Police confirmed the successful confiscation of these explosives.
