Four Naxal Commanders Worth Rs 36 Lakh Neutralized in Joint Operation on Gadchiroli-Chhattisgarh Border

National Desk, 19th March: In a decisive operation, four Naxal commanders, collectively carrying a bounty of Rs 36 lakh, were eliminated in an encounter along the Gadchiroli-Chhattisgarh border. The encounter unfolded during a joint operation conducted by Gadchiroli police commandos and CRPF forces, signifying a major breakthrough in the campaign against Naxalites in Maharashtra.

The successful operation, executed jointly by the C60 and CRPF as part of the Quick Action Team (QAT), aimed to tackle the Naxal insurgency in the region. The elimination of four prominent Naxal leaders marks a significant blow to the Naxal movement in the area and highlights the ongoing efforts of security forces to curb insurgency and maintain law and order.

Following the encounter, the bodies of the four Naxal commanders were recovered, along with a cache of weapons, including an AK47, one carbine, and two locally made pistols. This development underscores the effectiveness of coordinated efforts between law enforcement agencies in combating the Naxal menace and restoring peace in the region.
