Congress Announces List of Candidates for Arunachal Pradesh Assembly Elections

Northeast Desk, 21st March: The Congress party on March 21 revealed a roster of 34 candidates for the forthcoming Legislative Assembly elections in Arunachal Pradesh.

Scheduled alongside Sikkim, the Arunachal Pradesh polls are set to take place on April 19, with vote counting slated for June 2.

The initial list of candidates features prominent figures such as Sanhey Phuntsok from the Mukto (ST) constituency, Kumar Wali from Bameng-ST, Kompu Dolo from Chayangtajo-ST, and Tame Gyadi from Seppa East-ST.

Other notable names include Smt. Gollo Yapung Tana from Pakke-Kasang-ST, Yumlam Achung from Itanagar-ST, Nabam Tado from Doimukh-ST, and Takam Pario from Palin-ST.

The Congress candidates represent a diverse array of constituencies, with individuals like Er. Rughu Tado contesting from Tali-ST, Tanga Byaling from Nacho-ST, and Reri Kirbe Dulom from Daporijo-ST.

Furthermore, the list includes candidates like Yomkar Riba from Basar-ST, Tallng Yaying from Rumgong-ST, and Takku Jerang from Pangin-ST, among others, reflecting the party’s comprehensive electoral strategy across Arunachal Pradesh.

The Congress aims to secure a strong presence in the state legislature with its carefully chosen candidates, encompassing a wide spectrum of constituencies and communities.
