Assam: Two Detained & 96 Containers of Suspected Heroin Seized In Dhubri
Guwahati, 23rd March: In a significant development, Dhubri Police in Assam conducted a successful operation resulting in the detention of two individuals and the seizure of 96 containers containing suspected heroin.
According to an official statement released by the police, the operation unfolded at Gajisingarkhuti in the Dhubri district of Assam, culminating in the apprehension of the two suspects.
The detained individuals were identified as Muchabul Sk from Balakuti village in Bow Bazar and Jyotish Biswajit Sutradhar from Chotolawkuti village, both falling under the jurisdiction of the Boxirhat Police Station in the Coochbehar district of West Bengal.
Authorities revealed that the confiscated containers yielded approximately 121.82 grams of an illicit substance suspected to be heroin. The seized material has been forwarded for comprehensive testing to confirm its composition.
Following the operation, the detained suspects were processed for further legal proceedings as the investigation into the case continues to unfold.
