Manipur: Massive Arms and Ammunition Seized in Bishnupur District; Four Arrested

Northeast Desk, 28th March: Manipur police made massive strides on March 27, with the arrest of four individuals in Bishnupur district following the discovery of a substantial cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Salam Rameshwor Singh, Tongbram Gyanjit Singh, Pukhrem Ingocha Singh, and Thokchom Temba.

Alongside the arrests, authorities confiscated three SLR Rifles, accompanied by four empty magazines, along with twenty live rounds, seven mobile phones, and a Baofeng Walkie Talkie Set.

Moreover, two cars, bags, and various other items were seized.

The authorities have initiated a formal case to further investigate the matter, marking the beginning of a thorough inquiry by Manipur Police into the circumstances surrounding the arrests and the seized items.
