Northeast Desk, 29th March: The Ministry of External Affairs reiterates India’s stance on Arunachal Pradesh amid China’s persistent claims.
MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal emphasized that India remains firm in its position that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of the country, regardless of Beijing’s repeated assertions.
The statement follows recent comments from the Chinese Foreign Ministry reiterating their claim over Arunachal Pradesh.
India’s position on the matter has been consistent, with MEA reaffirming that Arunachal Pradesh has always been and will continue to be an inseparable part of India.
MEA noted China’s Defense Ministry spokesperson’s remarks on March 19, dismissing them as baseless and asserting Arunachal Pradesh’s integral status within India.
Regarding Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s remarks on allegations linked to the killing of a Khalistani separatist leader on Canadian soil, MEA reiterated India’s stance and readiness to investigate any concrete information provided.
MEA also addressed Chinese foreign ministry comments related to the case of Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, emphasizing that India and the United States are capable of handling bilateral issues without third-party interference.
The Biden administration is collaborating with India to hold accountable those involved in a foiled plot to assassinate Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun on American soil.
India views the UN Security Council’s resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza positively and emphasizes the need for deescalation, protection of civilians, and humanitarian assistance in the Israel-Hamas conflict.
On the visit of the Sri Lankan prime minister to Beijing, MEA stated that India monitors all developments impacting its economic and security interests and takes necessary actions accordingly.
