Assam: Election Training Session Bolsters Preparedness in Nalbari

Guwahati, 31st March: A comprehensive election training session was convened on Saturday at the conference hall of the DC’s Office in Nalbari, under the guidance of District Commissioner cum District Election Officer, Varnali Deka. The training aimed to empower District Level Master Trainers (DLMTs) & Assembly Level Master Trainers (ALMTs) with the requisite skills for the upcoming elections.

A team of State Level Master Trainers (SLMTs), led by Prasanta Kumar Gogoi, Associate Professor at ADP College, Nagaon, along with Dr. Rajib Baruah and Dr. Kaushik Kr. Deka, provided comprehensive instruction on the operation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and briefed the participants on their roles and responsibilities.

The SLMTs delved into the duties of nodal officers, administrative officers, DLMTs, and ALMTs, ensuring a thorough comprehension among the participants. A dedicated doubt clearance session addressed queries concerning EVMs, followed by discussions on managing special situations on polling day.

In her address, Nalbari DC Varnali Deka underscored the significance of preparedness in ensuring the smooth and peaceful conduct of elections across the district. She urged all participants to apply the knowledge acquired during the training to uphold the integrity and efficiency of the electoral process.

The training session concluded with participants expressing confidence in their ability to fulfill their responsibilities effectively, pledging to uphold democratic principles during the forthcoming elections in Nalbari.
