PAJSC Names Techi Rana as Candidate for Arunachal West Lok Sabha Seat

Northeast Desk, 31st March: The Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee (PAJSC), at the forefront of the infamous paper leakage scam in Arunachal, has nominated one of its members, Techi Rana, as its official candidate for the Arunachal West Lok Sabha constituency, challenging Union Minister Kiren Rijiju.

Additionally, the PAJSC announced its intention to establish a political party dedicated to recruiting leaders committed to issue-based politics.

Techi Rana, addressing reporters, expressed disappointment with opposition parties’ failure to address the state government’s inaction regarding the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) cash-for-job scam. Highlighting the lack of political leaders’ involvement in addressing the issue, Rana stressed the importance of contesting the parliamentary election to advocate for youth concerns.

Rana emphasized the necessity of political power to address the APPSC cash-for-job scams, a key motive for contesting in the Lok Sabha polls. He confirmed filing a nomination for the Arunachal East Lok Sabha seat, albeit unsuccessfully, as an independent candidate.

Asserting independence from other political parties, Rana reiterated his commitment to issue-based politics and ensuring continued focus on the APPSC issue beyond the assembly election.

Addressing other key issues, Rana pledged to push for the amendment of Article 371 (H), combat prevailing corruption in the state, and address refugee concerns.

PAJSC vice-chairman, Tadak Nalo, explained the committee’s decision to enter politics, highlighting the need for political power to address the issues raised by the PAJSC. Despite nearly two years since the APPSC cash-for-job scam, Nalo lamented the lack of progress and political will to address the matter.

Acknowledging the challenging decision to enter politics, Nalo underscored the PAJSC’s commitment to the fight against corruption and the APPSC scam, emphasizing the necessity of engaging in the political arena to drive meaningful change.
