National Desk, 5th April: With the 2024 Lok Sabha elections drawing closer, the Congress party has revealed its electoral manifesto titled ‘Nyay Patra’ on Friday. The manifesto primarily focuses on addressing unemployment concerns and includes pledges to conduct a caste census as part of its five major assurances.
As detailed in its manifesto, the long-standing political party has committed to conducting a comprehensive caste census across the nation if elected to power. The objective of this census is to “determine the various castes and sub-castes along with their socio-economic circumstances.”
The Congress party has stated that by utilizing the information gathered from this census, it intends to strengthen initiatives aimed at supporting castes in need of affirmative action.
