Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) Unveils Manifesto with Focus on Protecting Sikkimese Rights
Northeast Desk, 7th April: The Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) today, on April 7 revealed its manifesto at a campaign event held for the Rangang-Yangang constituency. The manifesto launch was led by SDF party president and former Chief Minister Pawan Chamling, along with MP candidate P D Rai, and Rangang Yangang candidate MK Subba.
Central to the manifesto is the commitment to safeguarding Sikkimese rights under the special provision of Article 371F. The SDF’s primary agenda for the upcoming election is encapsulated in the slogan ‘Sikkim Bachau’ or ‘Save Sikkim’.
With a focus on protecting the unique identity and rights of Sikkim, the SDF’s manifesto underscores its dedication to ensuring the preservation of the state’s distinct cultural heritage and socio-political autonomy. As the election campaign progresses, the SDF aims to garner support for its vision of a secure and prosperous future for Sikkim and its people.
