Arunachal: Gan Suraksha Party Candidate Toko Sheetal Launches Extensive Campaign Tour Across 11 Districts in West Constituency

Northeast Desk, 8th April: Gan Suraksha Party (GSP) candidate, Toko Sheetal, has embarked on a vigorous tour spanning over 11 districts within the Arunachal West constituency.

Thousands of underprivileged individuals in Daporijo town, the headquarters of Upper Subansiri district, have enthusiastically welcomed and pledged their support to Sheetal. Notably, she led the anti-corruption ‘Delhi chalo’ movement on foot in September 2022. Now, Sheetal has entered the electoral race for the Arunachal West parliamentary seat, challenging the incumbent MP, Kiren Rijiju.

Today, Sheetal officially filed her nomination under the GSP banner in Aalo, West Siang district. Her candidacy is rooted in her notable activism, which includes spearheading a foot march from Itanagar to New Delhi under the Arunachal Against Corruption (AAC) banner and staging a protest at Jantar Mantar, significantly influencing Arunachal politics in September 2022.

Following the nomination filing, Sheetal expressed confidence in her victory, asserting that the people of Arunachal wholeheartedly support her candidacy and predicting her emergence as the eventual winner of the parliamentary seat. Her campaign endeavors seek to resonate with voters across the diverse districts of the Arunachal West constituency, aiming to address their concerns and champion their aspirations on the national stage.
