Union Ministers Shah and Singh, Alongside BJP President Nadda, Gear Up for Intense Campaigning in the in Arunachal’s Namsai today

Northeast Desk, 9th April: Arunachal Pradesh braces itself for a flurry of political activity as Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and BJP President JP Nadda gear up to bolster their party’s campaign for the impending polls scheduled for April 19.

With the ruling BJP already securing 10 seats uncontested in the 60-member assembly, the party intensifies its efforts to maintain its stronghold in the state. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is slated to address an election rally in Namsai district on April 9, rallying support for BJP candidates.

Following suit, BJP President JP Nadda is scheduled to touch down in the state capital on April 10 to unveil the party’s manifesto for the upcoming polls. Subsequently, Nadda will address a rally in Doimukh, in close proximity to the capital, amplifying the momentum for BJP candidates in the region.

In a bid to secure a majority of seats, the BJP has nominated 50 candidates for the remaining assembly seats, while opposition parties such as the Congress, National People’s Party, Nationalist Congress Party, People’s Party of Arunachal, Arunachal Democratic Party, and Lok Jana Shakti Party have also announced their contenders for the polls.

Notable figures in the fray include Union Earth Sciences Minister Kiren Rijiju, vying for the Arunachal West parliamentary constituency, and incumbent MP Tapir Gao from the eastern parliamentary seat. On the other hand, the Congress pins its hopes on PCC President Nabam Tuki and State Unit Vice President Bosiram Siram for the west and east Lok Sabha seats, respectively.

As the state gears up for the electoral showdown, the vote count is scheduled for June 2nd for the assembly elections and June 4th for the parliamentary polls, signaling a decisive moment in Arunachal Pradesh’s political landscape.
