Guwahati, 9th April: In a late-night operation conducted by Jogighopa police in Bongaigaon district, a vehicle transporting rice illegally was intercepted and seized at Kabaitari.
The confiscated items included numerous sacks of rice loaded onto a six-wheeler truck bearing registration number AS19C 4793.
Upon receiving the report, officials from the Food and Civil Supplies Officer’s office promptly arrived at the scene to initiate a thorough investigation.
The incident sheds light on longstanding suspicions of illicit rice trading activities prevailing within the district.
