Assam: SMSS leader Umananda Mudoi Moran detained
Guwahati, 11th April: In a concerning turn of events, the leader of Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti (SMSS), Umananda Mudoi Moran has been detained once again by the Assam Police on April 11.
The leader of the student wing of SMSS was arrested from his relative’s house near his residence.
This recent detention comes after Pengeri Police arrested Umananda Mudoi Moran from Tarani Gaon village under Margherita subdivision of Tinsukia district not long ago.
However, the reason behind his detention is yet to be ascertained this time.
As per sources, the leader of the student wing is suspected to have been detained as a preemptive measure to forestall potential agitation or unrest.
However, the official reason behind his arrest is yet to be confirmed.
