Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Campaign in Manipur

Northeast Desk, 13th April: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Manipur on April 15 to campaign for the BJP and NPF candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election.

Preparations for his visit have commenced at full throttle at Hapta Kangjeibung.

Sources indicate that he will arrive at Imphal International Airport at 3 p.m. on April 15. From there, he will proceed directly to Hapta Kangjeibung, where he will address the public.

During his brief visit, he will campaign for Thounaojam Basanta Kumar Singh, the BJP candidate for the Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, and Kachui Timothy Zimik, the NPF candidate for the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency.

He is expected to depart from Imphal on the same day after the election rally.

It’s worth mentioning that Amit Shah visited the state last May and stayed for approximately three days during a peak period of conflict to assess the situation.
