Arunachal: SAI Organizes Selection Trial to Identify and Develop Archery Talents
Northeast Desk, 13th April: The Sports Authority of India (SAI) plans to conduct a selection trial at the Sangey Lhaden Sports Complex, Chimpu, on April 16 and 17, with the goal of discovering and nurturing promising archery talents. The trial aims to identify potential archers for induction into the esteemed National Centre of Excellence (NCoE) located in Itanagar.
Archers from the region who have demonstrated their skills in district-level competitions or have represented their states or the nation in championships within the last two years are eligible to participate. The age requirement for applicants is 14 years and above as of January 1, 2024.
Interested candidates must provide various documents, including original age proof certificates (such as school certificates, Aadhaar card, PAN card, or birth certificate), along with photocopies. Additionally, a medical fitness certificate obtained from a government hospital, sports achievement certificates with photocopies, and four passport-size photographs are required for consideration.
The initiative underscores SAI’s commitment to identifying and nurturing talent in the field of archery. By providing a platform for aspiring archers to showcase their skills, SAI aims to foster the development of future champions in the sport.
