Assam: AIUDF Leader Badruddin Ajmal Criticizes Congress Leader Gaurav Gogoi’s Participation in Eid Prayers
Guwahati, 14th April: AIUDF leader Badruddin Ajmal criticized Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi for offering namaz on Eid-ul-Fitr, alleging that Gogoi and his late father Tarun Gogoi did nothing for the Muslims of Jorhat.
Ajmal urged Hindu voters not to support Gaurav Gogoi, citing his participation in Eid prayers. He accused Gogoi of engaging in political gestures during prayers and failing to advocate for Muslim interests in Parliament.
Ajmal called upon Muslim voters in Jorhat to reject Gogoi, asserting that neither Gogoi nor his late father effectively represented Muslim concerns in the past decade.
Highlighting Gogoi’s recent participation in Namaz, Ajmal appealed to Hindu voters to withhold their support for Gogoi due to his involvement in Eid prayers, expressing satisfaction at the prospect of Gogoi’s defeat.
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Questions Gaurav Gogoi’s Religious Stance
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma questioned the religious sincerity of Akhil Gogoi and Gaurav Gogoi, pointing out their participation in Eid celebrations while allegedly showing indifference towards the consecration of the Ram Mandir.
Sarma raised concerns about Gaurav Gogoi’s religious fervor, questioning why he did not exhibit the same enthusiasm during the temple consecration, as he was seen protesting with Rahul Gandhi in Nagaon.
