Northeast Desk, 19th April: Amidst the Lok Sabha elections, gunfire took place near a polling booth in Manipur’s Moirang today.
The incident occurred in Thamanpokpi, situated within the Moirang Assembly area.
Fortunately, there were no casualties reported in the shooting incident.
However, the loud gunfire instilled fear among voters who had gathered to cast their ballots, leading to a chaotic scene as people fled the area in panic.
The incident, which occurred today, caused widespread panic among voters who had queued up to exercise their franchise.
Video footage capturing the firing incident has begun circulating online, depicting the chaotic aftermath as voters hurriedly evacuated the polling booth upon hearing the gunshots.
