Assam: Massive Fire Engulfs Dhing Market; Six Shops Devoured
Guwahati, 28th April: In a tragic incident, Dhing market was ravaged by a massive fire that erupted at midnight, originating from a cloth shop and swiftly spreading to neighboring establishments. The inferno, suspected to have been triggered by a short circuit, engulfed a total of six shops before being brought under control.
The fire wreaked havoc on the primarily clothing-oriented businesses in the area, resulting in the loss of goods worth lakhs of rupees as flames consumed merchandise and structures alike. However, the swift response of patrolling police officers, supplemented by reinforcements from the Dhing police and fire brigade, played a crucial role in containing the blaze and preventing further escalation.
