Congress Leader Accuses Modi of Goebbels-Inspired Propaganda Tactics

National Desk, 29th April: Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has launched a scathing critique against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, insinuating that Modi may have taken cues from Joseph Goebbels, infamous for his role in Nazi propaganda.

In a series of tweets targeting Modi’s educational background, Ramesh hinted at the possibility that Modi might have delved into Goebbels’ tactics during his MA in Entire Political Science. Ramesh cited Goebbels’ notorious dictum on the power of repeating falsehoods until they gain credibility, along with another quote advocating for the perpetuation of a grand falsehood.

“For his MA in Entire Political Science, Mr. Narendra Modi must definitely have read Joseph Goebbels on the value of propaganda and taken inspiration from him,” tweeted Ramesh.

Further elaborating, Ramesh referenced Goebbels’ alleged statement: “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.” He also pointed to another remark from 1941, suggesting that Goebbels endorsed the strategy of sticking to a significant lie.

These remarks from Ramesh come in response to Modi’s recent interview with a TV channel, during which Ramesh claims that Modi made misleading assertions about the Congress’s Nyay Patra (Manifesto). Accusing Modi of consistently resorting to falsehoods, Ramesh implied that Modi’s guiding principle seems to be ‘Asatyameva Jayate’ (Falsehood Always Triumphs).
