Amit Shah’s Arrival in Guwahati Sets Stage for Massive Roadshow Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections
Guwahati, 29th April: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has touched down in Guwahati, gearing up for a grand roadshow on April 29, in anticipation of the third phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections slated for May 7. The event holds immense significance in rallying voter support and is expected to attract a substantial crowd of supporters.
Shah, a prominent leader of the BJP, is set to lead a 2 km roadshow from the cycle factory to Lal Ganesh, situated in the heart of the city. Reports suggest that the roadshow is poised to be the largest rally in Guwahati, with over one lakh people anticipated to participate.
Meanwhile, the Guwahati Traffic Police has implemented various restrictions on vehicular movement to ensure public safety during Shah’s visit. These restrictions are aimed at safeguarding vulnerable road users, including children, students, women, senior citizens, and differently-abled individuals, while also facilitating unimpeded access for emergency vehicles.
The forthcoming Lok Sabha elections on May 7 will witness polling in Guwahati, Dhubri, Kokrajhar, and Barpeta, further underscoring the importance of Shah’s roadshow as a precursor to the electoral process.
